A special meeting of lot owners of Jersey State Memorial Park (JSMP) was held on July 27,
2017 at 11 AM at Darul Islah Mosque, 320 Fabry Terrace, Teaneck, NJ 07666 to elect 3 members
of its Board of Trustees. Terms of two Trustees, Waheed Khalid and Mohammed Siddiqui, had
expired and the third Trustee Tajammul Khokhar resigned for personal reasons.
The meeting started with recitation from Qur’an by Imam Saeed Qureshi. Waheed Khalid,
President of JSMP opened the meeting and welcomed the participants and announced the
formation of a 3-member Election Committee comprising the following to supervise the election:
- Bernard Stoecklein, CEO, CMS Mid-Atlantic, Inc.
- Rose Palermo, Senior Administrator, Laurel Gove Cemetery
- Asaad K. Siddiqui, Esq., JSMP Attorney
The Election Committee elected Bernard Stoecklein as its Chairperson who asked for
nominations for the 3 positions. The following individuals were nominated:
(1) Waheed Khalid
(2) Mohammed Siddiqui
(3) Saadat Ali
(4) Imam Freid Bedrolli
(5) Abdullah Kwaja
(6) Mubinul Kathrada
Participants of the meeting were interviewed by the Election Committee for their eligibility to
vote and were handed over ballots to vote. After everyone eligible had voted, the Election
Committee declared the following three candidates elected as the Board of Trustees of Jersey State
Memorial Park:
(1) Saadat Ali
(2) Waheed Khalid
(3) Mohammed Siddiqui
The special meeting adjourned at 1 PM.
