Rules & Regulations
Ensuring a Respectful and Peaceful Resting Place
1. Opening & Closing Hours
- Summer (April 1 to September 30): 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.
- Winter (October 1 to March 31): 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.
2. Same-Day Burials
A fee of $500.00 will be charged in addition to the Opening & Closing charge for same-day burials called in after 12:00 Noon.
3. Cancellation of Burials
Cancellations of burials will be charged the Opening & Closing Fee if the grave has already been opened.

5. Monument Approval
- Drawings showing the measurements and lettering on the monument must be submitted for written approval by Jersey State Memorial Park.
- Fees are non-refundable and must be paid in advance before the marker installation.
- Unauthorized monuments will be removed at your expense without prior notice.
6. Monument Approval
Maximum measurements allowed for headstones and ledgers are
- 28 inches wide
- 36 inches high from the ground
- 72 inches long; and
- Ledgers must be up to 6 inches high from the ground.
- Foundation Must be Reinforced Concrete-(Design Mix Minimum 3000 PSI)
- Only Pre-Mix Concrete Allowed. (No Mixing at Site)
- Jersey State Memorial Park is not responsible for Foundations
- All the Headstone ( at rear side ) Required Tag, The name of Monument Company, the date got the Permit and Permit Number ( If you have Approval and don’t have permit number, Please Contact at: Jerseystatememorial@gmail.com
- Headstone or Ledger installed without Permit, will be a fine $3,000 and Headstone and Ledger will be removed.
7. Photographs/Images on Headstones
8. Statues, Fences, and Benches
9. Trees and Bushes
Trees (small or large) and bushes on or around the graves are not allowed.
10. Plastic Flowers
Plastic flowers are allowed only during the winter months of November to February.
11. Monument Installation Timing
Monuments (headstones and ledgers) can be installed at least 6 months after the burial.
12. Double Header Stones
No Double Header Stones are allowed.
